Rituals and Runes: Item & Ally Card Expansion is an expansion for Runebound Second Edition that offers powerful new magic for Heroes.

Runes are well-known to adventurers, and new Rune Items like ''Everfull Purse'' and ''Fiery Doom'' expand your options. Rituals, however, are an all-new Item type. Although they require a sacrifice of resources, they offer power beyond other Items of similar cost. What's more, they mimic Weapon and Armor abilities without using those slots.

In the fight for glory and power, only one type of magic is more powerful than the legendary Runestones, and that is ritual magic. This expansion introduces a powerful new type of Item, rituals, which require you to roll and expend certain terrain symbols before they can be used. The trade-off: they are far more powerful and versatile than other Items of the same cost. Rituals and Runes requires no new setup beyond shuffling these cards into your Market deck!
